Best year for a long time for charter fishing trips from Whitby

I've read a few times on the internet forums over the past couple of weeks of anglers taking good catches form the Whitby charter boat fishing trips. Today I read one on WSF forum about Paul Kilpatrick's boats sea otter 2. The story was of a great days fishing with pictures of every box on the boat full of fish.
I phoned Paul earlier tonight and he confirmed they had been having some truely fantastic fishing over the past 2 weeks. Paul even went on to mention the words cod recovery and said the fishing was better than for a long time. It is thought that this is a result of fewer boats and less pair trawlers now working the grounds around Whitby.
