Today is the first day of the Whitby charter skippers autumn fishing festival. Paul Kilpatrick (aka Big cod) had an excellent start aboard his boat sea otter 2 with the first fish caught being a cod around the 15 pound mark. Paul has emailed me in this picture of the fish and asked me to post it up on his behalf. Ive just spoke with him on the phone and he says they have some ling aboard the boat of a similar size. Im going down to the way in at tea time and will take some more snaps. Ill post more details of the first days action later today.
