Big Pollock for local fireman

The big pollock on the Whitby Wrecks are becoming a more frequent site these days. Sea otter skipper Paul Kilpatrick attributes this to the new method of fishing with shads.

This a photo of local angler Chris Raine out on sea otter 2 today July 24th 2006.

This pollock weiged just under 15lb - a cracking fish which fell to a blue shad. It was caught on a wreck at 18 miles along with plenty of cod up to 10lb.

Chris is a part-time fireman and was out with local area firebrigade lads on there maiden trip on sea otter 2 they weren't disapointed.
