Whitby charter skippers summer festival 2006

A glorious day with temperatures in the mid 20's met the anglers as they boarded the associations fourteen boats early this morning. Anticipation was high and so far the anglers have not been dissapointed. At roughly mid stage on the first day the skippers are reporting good catches with cod to almost double figures and ling estimated to around 20 pound already been taken.

Paul on sea-otter 2 has emailed me these pictures in of the early catches on his boat.

More pictures and reports to follow later today - after the match.
